Templates are only useful if someone fills them in. Paste your meeting transcript in the box above and the tool produces the Summary, Decisions, and Action items sections for you — then download the result as a Word (.docx) file or as Markdown, or copy it, and put it into the template of your choice.
Meeting notes template in Word (.docx)
Every template block above has a “Download Word (.docx)” button next to Copy and Download .txt. The .docx is a genuine Office Open XML file built in the browser when the button is pressed — the heading arrives in bold and each line is its own paragraph, so the fields can be typed over straight away.
Nothing is uploaded to build it and no account is asked for. On the Japanese, German, Korean and French versions of this page the Word file comes out written in that language.
The same button sits on the tool at the top of this page: once it has filled in the summary, decisions, and action items, those download as a Word (.docx) file as well.
Only two formats exist here: Word (.docx) and plain text (.txt). There is no PDF, Excel, or Google Docs copy.
Frequently asked questions
Are these meeting notes templates free?
Yes. Copy or download any template on this page for free, and use the tool above to fill it from a transcript at no cost and with no signup.
What’s the best format for meeting notes?
For most meetings: a short summary, a list of decisions, and action items with an owner and due date. The general template above follows that structure.
Is there a meeting notes template for Word?
Yes — each of the three templates on this page (general, one-on-one, and daily standup) has a “Download Word (.docx)” button that produces an editable Word document. The same template can also be copied to the clipboard or downloaded as plain text.
Can I get the notes as a file?
Yes. After pasting a transcript, the notes download as a Word (.docx) file that opens straight in Word, or as a Markdown (.md) file for Notion and Google Docs. They can also be copied to the clipboard.
Do I have to use the template to use the tool?
No — the tool works on its own and returns structured notes. The templates are there if you prefer a fixed layout to paste into.
Is my transcript stored?
No. It’s used only to generate the notes and is not stored on our servers.
